Martine Lepore
Martine Lepore is a native of Gates, NY. She received her design education from FIT in New York City, where she worked in the fashion industry for several years. Her pursuit of artistic learning soon drew her across Europe, where she was captivated by the work of the Italian Renaissance. Upon moving back to Rochester, Martine began her career as a Fine Artist. She is one of the original artists-in-residence at the Elizabeth Gallery, now known as ARTISANworks. Martine specializes in painting, drawing, and sculpture. She works with all types of media and in many genres, using warms blends of color. Her masterful paintings contrast the awesome, the trivial, and the melancholic, interweaving elements of autobiographical experiences that mesmerize the viewer.
Lepore has exhibited her work all over the region and has work in the collections of the New York Wine and Culinary Center, The Elizabeth collection at ARTISANworks, MCC, Lakeshore Country Club, and many private residencies across the United States and Europe. Lepore is also a key played in the art education outreach programs at ARTISANworks, inspiring students of all ages at institutions such as Monroe Community Hospital, AIDS Rochester, and the Aquinas Institute. Martine measures the success of her work not only by how she creates it, but also by the reactions that her art evokes from others.
