ARTISANworks invites you to view the Member Show hanging in the Workshop Hallway

(View all Press Releases | Print this Page)

Until the end of April, visitors can walk the length of the Workshop Hallway and enjoy the artwork of ARTISANworks members, staff, and longtime artists-in-residence.

From the satirical acrylic paintings of Tom Orsini, to the widely popular painted windows of resident artist Mark Groaning, viewers will be introduced to many of the artists the Monthly Stipends Program at ARTISANworks supports.

One of the newest member artists, Michael Rivera, is featured at the far end of the workshop hallway. Rivera’s latest body of work, entitled On Edge, features fashion portraits. His subjects, intriguingly captured in minimalist environments, reflect the sub-cultures that exist and feed our mainstream society. Educated at RIT and Hobart College with degrees in photography and sociology, Rivera draws upon his life experiences to add a dramatic degree of intensity to his subject matter.

View Rivera’s photographs and the works of dozens of others until April 26th, 2009.
