ROCHESTER, NY – Critically acclaimed guitarist Stephane Wrembel will travel to Rochester on Saturday April 11th to perform with his quartet. The program will feature masterfully composed fusions of Gyspy, Jazz, Middle Eastern, Indian, and African Guitar. The concert is part of a proposed series brought to fruition by membership and private sponsorship funds.

Mr. Wrembel, a native of Fontainebleu, France, was trained early as a classical guitarist. He discovered the expressive musical culture of the Gypsies and decidedly conquered the technique and the soul of the tradition. Wrembel furthered his musical studies at the Berklee School of Music, after which he moved to New York and began a full-fledged career as a travelling performer. His career has since exploded onto the international music scene. Not only has he headlined at New York’s Lincoln Center for an audience of six thousand, but he composed the score of Woody Allen’s latest film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. He recently recorded his third album with legend David Grisman, and coached Pop icon Mariah Carey for her role as a singer and guitarist in the film Tennessee.

ARTISANworks invites the community to attend Stephane Wrembel’s performance on Saturday, April 11th. The performance, scheduled to run from 12pm – 3pm, will also feature tours of the ARTISANworks facility, Manhattan-style Deli cuisine provided by Colombo’s Deli, and at-the-door networking opportunities for members and sponsoring businesses. All are invited to participate in this musical celebration made possible by ARTISANworks community arts supporters!
